ORIGINALO™ CONCEPT

1. How does ORIGINALO™ gift box work?

Inside an ORIGINALO™ gift box, there is a Booklet and a Voucher. In 3 simple steps:

  1. Choose an ORIGINALO™ gift box and offer it.
  2. Your recipient uses the ORIGINALO™ Booklet to select an experience
  3. Your recipient hands in the Voucher to our provider on site and enjoys the Ultimate Gift Experience!

2. What are the themes or experiences that I can find?

Themes include Escape, Spa, and Action. According to each theme, you have a range of gift boxes. Inside the gift box you have a choice of experiences from a variety of providers. We do not include travel. We intend to increase our range of themes and experiences on a regular basis for your ultimate enjoyment.

3. How many activities am I entitled to for one ORIGINALO™ gift box?

You are entitled to 1 experience from an ORIGINALO™ gift box.

4. Who is an ORIGINALO™ gift box for?

ORIGINALO™ gift box can be for anyone, on any occasion, even for yourself!

5. Where can I buy an ORIGINALO™ gift box?

Currently, ORIGINALO™ can be bought from the website www.originalo.com.my. If you are Corporate, then please email info@originalo.com.my

6. Who is liable for the activity?

We at ORIGINALO Sdn Bhd carefully select our Partners so that we provide you an unforgettable experience. We ensure that our Partners have appropriate insurance and coverage in case of any damage, or incident. However, we only act as a disclosed agent, so ORIGINALO Sdn Bhd is not liable for any incident or accident occurring at the provider’s place.

7. Do I need Internet to enjoy an ORIGINALO™ gift box?

You do not need Internet to enjoy an ORIGINALO™ gift box. The Booklet and Voucher inside makes it simple to select your dream experience -without Internet - and reserve directly with the provider, redeeming the Voucher on site.

8. What's the difference between Originalo and websites like Groupon or online gift experiences?

The main differences are:

  • Originalo comes in a chic gift package
  • For the first time in Malaysia it’s your recipient that gets to choose
  • Our customers are treated like regular customers
  • All our activities are available weekdays and weekends (no restrictions)
  • All our venues have been tried and tested
  • There is no need to redeem online (which is great for older generations who do not access the internet) as you use the booklet to select your experience and book by telephone directly to the venue
  • Your recipient doesn’t get to see the monetary value of the gift box
  • We offer long validity date (up to 1 year) for redemption

ORIGINALO™ RESERVATION

9. How do I make a reservation?

Simply call the telephone number of the provider in the Booklet to reserve the time and date of your chosen activity and quote your Voucher code on the Voucher. With ORIGINALO™ gift box, you save time and money since you don’t need to spend 20 minutes with a call centre for information enquiry, rerouting and booking.

10. Do I have to choose immediately a specific time/date/experience when I buy an ORIGINALO™ gift?

No it’s not necessary to decide right away. The expiration date is printed on the Voucher, so you’re able to make a booking when you feel the time is right. However, note that some places may be fully booked so it’s strongly recommended to not leave reservation until the end of the validity period.

11. What if the date/time I want to book is not available?

We at ORIGINALO™ carry out blinds tests to ensure that our Partners provide you with a warm welcome. In turn, our Partners make sure to try to accommodate you as best as they can, but there might be a possibility that your preferred activity is fully booked. In order to avoid any disappointment, be sure to book early. Also, the good news about ORIGINALO™ is there are still many other enjoyable experiences to try. Either way, you don’t lose!

12. Can I cancel/change the date after I’ve made the booking?

If you wish to cancel/change the reservation date, please do inform the experience provider immediately. Please look at the Booklet for each provider’s Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy, which differ from each other. You will be penalized for a No-Show or Late Cancellation, rendering your Voucher as void and used.

13. What if I wish to cancel the reservation date with a Partner or another Partner?

If you wish to cancel the reservation date for another provider, please do inform the original provider immediately as long as it is within the cancellation limit. Please view the Booklet with the provider’s Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy. If you cancel with less than the recommended advance notice, the hotel partner is not obliged to accept and therefore you would lose the use of your voucher.

14. What if I book and do not show up?

If you book and do not show up, then your Voucher will be void and you will no longer be able to use it. So it’s definitely worth your time to give advance notice for any cancellation or postponement.

15. How do I redeem the ORIGINALO™ Voucher?

Simply quote your unique Voucher code to the experience provider to validate your Voucher. On the day itself, DO NOT FORGET under any circumstances to give the Voucher to the provider, otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the experience that day. The Voucher is part of the verification process that you booked the reservation and not someone else so as to avoid any fraudulent activity. In the case you forget your Voucher, you will be charged from your credit card. No refund is given.

16. If I forget to bring the ORIGINALO™ Voucher to the Partner, will I still be allowed to redeem the activity?

It’s very important to bring the Voucher to the venue otherwise the Partner has the right to refuse entry. The Voucher is a form of payment and verification so please do not forget to bring it. In the case that you do forget the Voucher, then you can pay the Partner directly, but you may lose use of the Voucher later.

17. Can I book just by bringing my ORIGINALO™ Voucher to the chosen venue?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to just turn up to the chosen venue with your Voucher. Our partner is not obliged to accept your voucher without a prior reservation. We strongly advise you to book in advance so that you get to enjoy the Ultimate Gift Experience!

18. How long is the ORIGINALO™ Voucher valid for?

The Voucher's validity is stated on the back of each gift box and on the voucher.

19. Can I extend the validity date?

Unfortunately, you are not able to extend the validity date. However, this is also to ensure that you have the best and most updated experiences to choose from, as we will regularly be adding new experiences and activities to our selection.

20. Can I use ORIGINALO™ during the week?

Yes, anyone can use ORIGINALO™ gift whenever, wherever! They can be used every day of the week, including weekends and holidays, all subject to availability. But do book in advance for weekends and holiday periods as these tend to be booked up faster.


ORIGINALO™ PAYMENT & DELIVERY METHOD

21. Is the ORIGINALO™ Voucher transferable? Can I give it to someone else to use?

Yes, your ORIGINALO™ Voucher is transferable. You may pass it on to someone else to use.

22. Can I upgrade my ORIGINALO™ Voucher experience, for example 2 nights at a hotel instead of 1?

Of course, you may upgrade your ORIGINALO™ experience directly with the provider. Be sure to check with the experience provider that 2 nights running is available and let them know that you wish to upgrade and pay the outstanding balance directly to the provider via credit card. The provider has the right to ask for your credit card details as reservation guarantee.

23. I’ve lost my ORIGINALO™ Voucher. Can I get a replacement?

Unfortunately, we are unable to re-issue a replacement ORIGINALO™ Voucher. It’s very important to conserve your Voucher otherwise our Partner are unable to complete the verification process, preventing you from The Ultimate Gift Experience!

24. My ORIGINALO™ Voucher was not validated. What should I do?

If your ORIGINALO™ Voucher was not validated/accepted, that is because the Voucher code is not valid or fraudulent. Please contact immediately customercare@originalo.com.my

25. Can I exchange or get a refund for my ORIGINALO™ gift?

Unfortunately, we cannot exchange or refund ORIGINALO™ gifts. However, we assure you that the quality selection of activities on offer inside an ORIGINALO™ gift box is guaranteed to give you or your loved one a happy experience!

26. I haven’t received email confirmation of my booking. What should I do?

Check with your email setting that the email confirmation is not in Spam. If you still haven’t received email confirmation, then please either call the Partner or email us at customercare@originalo.com.my

27. What form of payment do you accept?

We accept various forms of payment methods – credit card, debit, cash, and cheque. Our secure online payment gateway CIMB Merchant Bank allows credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX).
Alternatively, cheques can be made payable to ORIGINALO SDN BHD, addressed to ORIGINALO SDN BHD, Kirana Kondominium, Apt 7-15-2, 7 Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. Please ensure 3 working days for the cheque to clear. State clearly on the back of the cheque, the name of the ORIGINALO™ gift box you wish to purchase, your invoice number, your name and telephone number.

28. Can I still purchase an ORIGINALO™ gift if I am not based in   Malaysia?

Of course you can! You can purchase an ORIGINALO™ gift box from anywhere in the world, 24/7!

29. How secure is ORIGINALO™ payment online?

ORIGINALO™ takes Internet security very seriously. Our online payment gateway is protected by 3D SSL, Verified by Visa, Mastercard Secure Code and McAfee.

30. What are the delivery methods? How fast is delivery?

Your gift box will be shipped and registered via Pos Laju for deliveries within peninsular Malaysia and UPS for overseas locations to ensure maximum security and reliability. You will be able to track your package with the individual tracking number on your order confirmation email. For domestic and international delivery, please allow up to 2 to 3 working days.

31. I live in Singapore. Can an ORIGINALO™ gift be delivered to me?

Yes, we can deliver your ORIGINALO™ gift box to Singapore.

32. Can I specify the date I want the ORIGINALO™ gift to be delivered?

We at ORIGINALO SDN BHD try to deliver as fast as we can so that you can enjoy The Ultimate Gift Experience straight away. We cannot however guarantee that an ORIGINALO™ gift box would arrive on a specific date requested.
